Baccarat History

Despite the French name, baccarat originated in Italy and reached France only during the reign of Charles VIII (ruled 1483 - 1498). Baccarat became exclusive among the aristocracy and that gave it that aura of sophistication and elegance that endured even when it spread through each level of the French social class and still remains in modern times.

Baccarat Strategy

Baccarat is a simple game with only three possible outcomes: 'Player', 'Banker' and 'Tie'. The term 'Player' does not refer to the person playing the game and the term 'Banker' does not refer to the house. They are just options on which you can bet. The aim of baccarat is to predict which hand will have a total of nine or as close to nine. A peculiarity of baccarat is that the game is named after the worst hand: wherever the word comes from, baccarat stands for zero. The same baccarat rules apply for the online game.
