New poker magazine planned for the UK

Dennis Publishing it set to launch a new mini-magazine dedicated to poker, reports online-casinos.com.

The 16-page glossy publication will be inserted into every copy of the new edition of Maxim, due on newsagents' shelves next week.

Dennis Publishing already publishes a specialist UK gaming magazine, InsideEdge, alongside its more established lifestyle and motoring titles like Maxim, Men's Fitness and Evo.

Unlike InsideEdge, however, Total Poker will feature nothing but the world's most exciting card game, showing tips and tricks and explaining the finer points of bluffs and poker moves.

The company decided to add this extra pull-out to the already popular magazine when the bosses realised quite how much interest Maxim readers had in poker.

Though undeniably one of the world's fastest growing games, according to online-casinos.com the new title only came about when it was discovered poker was the second most popular pastime for the readers of this men's magazine.
