Bournemouth casino plans could be altered

Plans to build a casino in Bournemouth that were signed in unusual circumstances earlier this month could be revised by the new local council, it has been revealed.
The Liberal Democrat Council signed the deal on the day that they lost power to the Conservatives, seemingly paving the way for an investment worth £60 million.
Restaurants, renovations and other facilities will be built if the plans go ahead, but a debate over the way in which the contract was hurried through could now result in alterations.
"Many people have questioned whether the previous administration acted reasonably when they allowed the Development Agreement to be signed in the final days of an election campaign," advised Stephen MacLoughlin.
But Liberal Democrats have said that the deal took over three years' worth of planning and would give the town a new lease of life.
"It's such a fantastic deal," councillor Richard Smith asserted.
