An internet gambling firm has attacked the British government after it was compelled to move its core operations from mainland UK to the Channel Islands.
Transferring its gambling and betting business sector has left SportingBet with a £10 million bill.
"We don't want to leave this country &ndash we never did &ndash but we feel we have no choice. You only have to look at the way the super casino issue was handled," chief executive Andy McIver told the Independent.
Furthermore, the company is concerned that it will not be compliant with the Gambling Commission's requirements.
"We have computer systems that need to be updated. If we don't meet their requirements by September we will be committing a criminal offence. The problem is we don't know what the requirements are," he added.
Earlier in the week, Interactive Gaming announced it was relocating from the UK to Malta &ndash a location "with a more defined regulatory environment", according to the firm.
