The European World Series of Poker (WSOP) is set to entertain some of the world's top players.
Jeffrey Pollack, the WSOP commissioner, states that the event, which is taking place in London, will have a "world-class field" and that there are "over 60 WSOP bracelets between the pre-registrants so far".
Names that have already confirmed their attendance include Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Erik Seidal and Jennifer Harman - all of which have put down the £10,000 entrance fee.
The six-day no limit Texas Hold'em competition will take place in London from September 10th. However, this game will follow a three-day £2,500 HORSE event on September 6th and a £5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Tournament which is scheduled to start on September 8th.
First taking place in 1970, the WSOP debuted Las Vegas and was won by Johnny Moss, who was voted "best all-around player".
The WSOP states that since this opening date, the series now encompasses around 45 tournaments.
