Charity poker event to be held in London

The Sportsman Casino in Marble Arch, London will host the Here Is The City / Napier Scott Charity Poker Championship.

November 22nd is the date for the Texas hold 'em event, where 50 per cent of the winner's prize money will be donated to charity.

The Starlight Children's Foundation will be the beneficiary.

Buy-in cost is £150 and additional buy-ins of up to £300 will take place throughout the night.

A champagne reception will begin the evening at 18:45 GMT, with the tournament to start at 19:30.

Only 70 players will be allowed to enter on a first-come, first-served basis via PayPal.

Contestants will be limited to those who work for financial institutions.

There will be no prizes for second place.

According to UKattraction.com, the Sportsman is one of London's top casinos and "is perfectly positioned for a great night out".
