Women's poker market: "Greatest potential for new players"

The women's poker market has the "greatest potential for new players" out of any other poker market, it has been argued.

Poker News made the statement when discussing the new Women's European Poker Tour (WEPT).

The site said that Europe is producing more top-class players every year and also suggested that women might want to move from the US to participate on the tour "for sponsorships and more opportunities for advancement".

Liz Lieu's move to London for a sponsorship deal was mentioned as a possible indicator of things to come.

The article also talked about events such as the WEPT grand finale at Birmingham's Broadway Casino on December 8th. The event is to be televised.

A women's tournament is being added to next year's Irish Open (IO). This year's version of the IO was one of the biggest tournaments in European poker history.
