Online casinos to be feature of airlines

Online casinos are to become regular fixtures among flights from major air travel providers such as Ryanair, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airlines and Singapore Airlines, it has been reported.

Using internet connections, passengers will be able to play the likes of poker and slots online - and they can do it for money too, by using their credit cards.

According to OnlineCasino.org, GamCare believes that the online casino market will benefit from the move, which "will open up the industry to players who would not even notice that [it] existed".

The idea of putting casinos onboard planes is not a new one and early designs for the luxury A380 Airbus actually had them included.

However, the use of online casinos does appear to be a brand new feature of the sky.

It is perhaps an indication of the sectors growing popularity that Singapore Airlines - which decided against the use of physical casinos on its Airbuses, according to Business Daily - is incorporating the internet version on its planes.
