Continuing the rapid expansion of the gambling trade to country's in east Asia, Indonesia could be about to get in on the trend, it has been reported.
Politicians in the country are trying to persuade the country's leaders to build its first ever casino, according to InterGame Online.
There have been plans to build gambling destinations in the past; however, these have been prevented by opposition from the country's Islamic fundamentalist movement.
It is thought that a casino - likely to be built close to Singapore to try and cash in on some of that country's wealth - could do wonders for Indonesia's economy, increasing annual income by 1,000 per cent.
Neighbouring countries to Indonesia already benefit from casinos, such as Malaysia which has one of the biggest resorts in the world in the Genting Highlands.
Gambling rules in Malaysia are also strict, with the Genting being the only legal land-based casino in the country.
