UK's first poker club opens today

The UK's first ever legal poker club will open today in Nottingham.

Called Dusk Til Dawn, the 15,000 sq ft Lenton Lane site was given its casino licence in September.

The club's demand has been extremely high, according to Jackpot.co.uk, which said that the opening week sold out rapidly.

Spokesperson for the poker room Simon Trumper said: "I never had any doubts that we would sell all our seats for the opening weekend."

"We can't rest on our laurels now though as the real challenge is to make Dusk Til Dawn the best club in Europe and keep players coming through our door over the years to follow."

According to Nottingham newspaper the Evening Post, the venue has enough room to seat over 400 poker players.

Fans can pre-join tournaments online and then show up to the club to take part.
