Casino fans "spoilt for choice" in London

2007-12-21 14:09:30

UK casino lovers will find that they are "spoilt for choice" in the nation's capital, according to a new assessment by a casino website.

The comments were made by Online Casino Press, which gave a general overview of what gamblers can expect to find among London's 25 or so casinos.

It said that while most casinos require people to be members, many will let people sign up for free, while some will allow people to enter as guest as long as they carry a valid form of identification.

There was also a suggestion that the casinos can offer a lot more than just gambling, such as quality food and sporting events.

"Many of London’s casinos offer a good selection of snacks and beverages, which can be enjoyed besides the gambling experience," it explained.

"Some casinos even have widescreens showing sporting events such as the Gala Casinos in Piccadilly, Russell Square and Tottenham Court Road."

London is home to the world's oldest private gaming club, Crockfords, an exclusive venue first opened in 1828.
