Legendary cricketer Shane Warne has been penalised for sending a text message during a poker game at the Aussie Millions event in Melbourne.
Warne, who recently announced that he would be taking part in tournaments professionally alongside his county cricket career, was handed a penalty for sending a text message.
A Crown Casino spokesperson told Reuters: "It happens all the time. It's just that it was Shane Warne."
She added that Warne may have been cost money by the penalty, which saw him forced to sit out of the game for a five-minute period.
The Aussie Millions tournament will finish on January 20th with the culmination of the no-limit hold'em main event.
A lot of money has already been awarded so far at Australia's largest poker event, with $1.5 million awarded in total across the first ten preliminary events alone, according to Card Player.
