Genting signs deal with top chef

Malaysian gambling operator Genting has signed a deal with TV chef Jean-Christophe Novelli to raise the standard of food at its UK casinos.

The company, which owns Stanley Casinos, has signed an exclusive contract with the Frenchman. He will design a new menu for the company - as well as training chefs - with the aim of taking its restaurants to a new level of fine dining, according to Easier.

Novelli is a regular on ITV culinary show Daily Cooks and has also appeared on The X Factor: Battle of the Stars.

His cookery school is rated as one of the best in the world.

Spokesman for Genting Peter Brooks said: "Jean-Christophe's involvement in our menus and training is another and exciting demonstration of our ongoing commitment to develop our casinos as not only premier leisure destinations, but as some of the country's top dining destinations as well."

Stanley Casinos operates the Mint, Maxim and Circus brands, as well as exclusive Mayfair casino Crockfords.
