Casino Review takes prize at London awards show

The category for best journal/magazine at the gambling industry's International Gaming Awards 2008 has gone to Casino Review.

Saying that it had "pushed the boundaries in above-the-line reporting", Lisa Barrett heaped praise upon the publication, which beat the likes of Gamingfloor.com, InterGaming, Casino World and Global Gaming Business to the prize.

Collecting the accolade at the London ceremony, publisher John Sullivan said: "To receive this award tonight from the very industry that we serve is a great honour and a clear indication to us that the magazine is achieving what we set out to do."

More than 200 people from around the world attended the ceremony, which took place before the International Casino Exhibition.

The monthly Casino Review was launched in 2002 and is widely distributed throughout the industry.

A year's subscription to the magazine costs £79 - or is free online.
