UK consumers 'need greater casino payment options'

The UK's online casino gaming community requires a greater degree of choice when it comes to making payments on the internet, an expert has implied.

Mark Matthews, spokesman for eWise Systems, suggested that if there were more payment options out there, gamblers would be more likely to spend money.

He claimed that his company offers customers the flexibility they need, setting it apart from some of its rivals.

"We're an alternative payment option. It's a complementary payment product… to give consumers more choice," he explained.

"The more options you give to your consumer, the more likely they're going to complete the checkout and not abandon their shopping cart."

Although a greater number of payment methods should be made available to online users, this should not get in the way of security which is the most important thing, Mr Matthews added.

According to Cybersource, 30 per cent of internet shoppers have not attempted to improve the way they use the web in order to boost security.
