Brunson to star at Irish Poker Open

Poker fans heading down to the Irish Poker Open later this month have the chance to rub shoulders with some of the world's gambling greats, it has been reported.

Specifically, legendary player and hat-wearer Doyle Brunson is set to make an appearance at the proceedings.

The event, taking place between March 19th and 24th, will see Brunson take on the best from an international field, as he vies for a share in the €3 million prize fund.

While the list of players might cow some, it is unlikely that Doyle will be phased by the pedigree of his opponents - at least if his endorsed site, Doyle's Room, is to be credited.

"With over $5 million in lifetime tournament winnings and countless millions in cash game winnings under his belt, coupled with an impressive ten World Series of Poker bracelets, Brunson is sure to make the competition sit up and take notes," it states.

Earlier this week, Doyle gave fans another glance into his life on his blog - also featured on Doyle's Room - where he gave details of the hectic schedule of a gambling professional.
