Blackjack movie 21 has managed a second week at the top of the UK box office after taking more than £1 million.
The Kevin Spacey feature, which is based upon bestselling book Bringing Down the House, narrowly kept its spot ahead of Fool's Gold, which raked in £975,468, according to Screen International.
In Bruges (£638,654), Street Kings (£619,647) and last week's number two Son of Rambow (£583,251) round out the top five.
The success of 21 at the box office is despite mixed reviews from the critics.
Users of Rotten Tomatoes have given it just a 32 per cent approval rating, while Empire magazine's Olly Richards summed the film up by saying: "The Ocean's Eleven: The College Years mood makes for a breezy good time, even if there is, like Vegas, precious little substance beneath the glitz."
It is possible that 21 has done so well because of an expansive advertising campaign on both billboards and television.
