The most heavily gambling-linked of all James Bond films Casino Royale has made a list of the top ten best British movies of all time.
Virgin Media carried out an internet poll which found that ten per cent of people believe it to be the best feature ever to come out of the UK - placing it in fourth overall.
Four Weddings and a Funeral was number one, followed by Monty Python's Life of Brian and Trainspotting.
The Bond franchise received further recognition when Sir Sean Connery, the first man to bring the iconic spy the big screen, came out top in the best actor poll. He finished eight positions ahead of incumbent 007 star Daniel Craig.
Meanwhile current M performer Dame Judi Dench was voted first in the actress survey.
Connery can be seen playing a game of bridge as Bond in Dr No, while Craig takes part in an epic no-limit Texas hold'em competition in Casino Royale.
