Top UK poker pro 'was down $1 million'

2008-07-15 15:22:17

Dave Ulliott has revealed that he was down by $1 million at one point during his recent stay in Las Vegas.

Writing in his Devilfish Poker blog, the World Poker Tour titlist claimed he was in a massive hole following an unsuccessful World Series of Poker - both in tournaments and at the cash tables.

But a good run in Bobby's Room at the Bellagio saw him quickly win back all the money he had lost.

It has been a mixed few months for a number of the world's top poker players.

Shannon Shorr revealed in his blog that he walked away from the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino more than $300,000 better off, after landing in the money in several tournaments.

Meanwhile, Poker News reports that Phil Ivey ended up down by as much as $2 million due to the large number of unsuccessful side bets he made.
