Ulliott finishes with a flourish in Las Vegas

2008-07-17 15:36:29

Dave Ulliott has capped off a remarkable final week in Las Vegas with another big win in Bobby's Room at the Bellagio Casino.

Writing in his Devilfish Poker blog, the top UK professional won a further $100,000 following his exit from the Bellagio Cup IV main event, ensuring he was "in front on the trip" as he made to head back home to England.

A few days ago Ulliott was reeling from losses worth $1 million, but he managed to take this money back on the felt and moved ahead for the first time Monday by landing in the money in the World Poker Tour tournament and taking down a $350,000 pot in another game in Bobby's Room.

Winning so much money in such a short space of time is not uncommon in the world of high-stakes poker.

Todd Brunson famously won more than $13 million in one two-day session. The win was written about by Michael Craig in his book The Professor, the Banker, and the Suicide King.
