The Ladbrokes Poker Million got underway at the start of this week and already three people are through to the semi-finals.
According to the Matchroom Poker website, Jonus Danilsson, Barny Boatman and Ross Boatman all successfully negotiated their first round heats this week, while snooker legend Steve Davis's run of bad luck continued.
The Nugget took part in a celebrity satellite event, featuring the likes of Dave Gorman and Teddy Sheringham.
Davis made it to a heads-up with Soccer AM's Alex Rushden, but was sent to the rail when he took a bad beat with ace-queen against ace-eight.
It is the second time this month that Davis has been knocked out of a big tournament with the best hole cards, following his elimination from the World Series of Poker main event in Las Vegas.
Rushden went on to play in heat one, but could not continue his success, losing out to Jonus Danilsson who beat Neil Channing in the heads-up.
Channing has been arguably the best player on the British circuit this year, solidifying his position at the top of the game when he took down the 2008 Irish Poker Open.
