Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott has earned himself a place in the semi-finals of the Ladbrokes Poker Million tournament following victory in the first round over the weekend.
The Hull player, who recently returned from a successful trip to Las Vegas, defeated Surinder Sunar in the heads-up to keep him in the hunt for another major poker title, Matchroom Poker reports.
Kenneth Sorensen, Sammy George and Anthony Hardy also progressed to the semi-finals last week.
Sorensen won the runners-up heat by beating Neil Channing in heads-up play, while Hardy came through a group featuring Roland De Wolfe.
George beat Mikael Johansson to secure his place in the next round.
The four men join Jonus Danilsson, Barny Boatman, Ross Boatman and Ryan Fronda, who made it through to the semis in heats one to four respectively.
Annette Obrestad, Mike Matusow and Marty Smyth are among the big-name players yet to compete in this year's tournament.
