Marty Smyth and Eughan O'Dea are the latest competitors to make it through to the semi-finals of this year's Ladbrokes Poker Million.
Both players came through particularly tough groups, with Smyth outlasting three-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet holder Mike Matusow, John Duthie and reigning champion Joe Beevers.
Meanwhile, O'Dea came out on top against Ram Vaswani, Tony G and WSOP Europe titlist Anette Obrestard, Matchroom Poker reports.
Gorden McGhee was Smyth's heads-up victim, while O'Dea defeated The Mouth from Down Under in his last-man face-off.
For Northern Irishman Smyth, yesterday's victory continues the most successful summer of his career, which has already seen him win the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha World Championship at the WSOP.
He is fast becoming one of the most feared competitors on the European circuit, having won the Irish Poker Open in 2007 and finished second at the Poker Million in the same year.
