The poker book industry is not currently experiencing any growth, according to a representative of one notable publisher.
Michael Stern, a spokesperson for Cardoza Publishing - the group behind Doyle Brunson's Super System: A Course in Power Poker, suggested that there has been no increase in the size of the market for poker books in the last few years.
"I don't really think there is a growth," he commented. "Realistically, 2003 and 2004, when the online boom was in the UK, was when you saw the biggest sales in the book industry."
Cardoza Publishing was at the Poker in the Park event in London's Leicester Square last week in part to promote the latest book from four-time World Series of Poker bracelet holder Daniel Negreanu - Power Hold'em strategy.
Mr Stern said that currently his firm has to undertake "massive" campaigns in some cases in order to get books to sell well on an international scale.
