Big Brother house given casino theme

The UK's Big Brother house has been transformed into a gambling den.

Slot machines and numerous other casino-related devices were placed in the house overnight, leaving the residents "intrigued" as day 83 go underway, Digital Spy reports.

According to the entertainment news provider, Mikey - the first blind BB contestant - attempted to come up with an explanation for the gambling apparatus in a conversation with housemate Lisa.

"It's either gamble to stay here or gamble away the prize money," he remarked.

Big Brother is not the first reality television show in the UK to go down the gaming route in recent months.

The last episode of The Apprentice season four saw two of the contestants design a perfume called Roulette, which followed a James Bond-style casino theme.

It proved to be a winner for Lee McQueen and Claire Young, who went on to battle it out between themselves for a job with Sir Alan Sugar's company.
