Manchester235 cited as an attraction for footballers

North-west casino Manchester235 has been listed among a number of reasons why the region is popular among football players.

Alan Dawson of Goal.com referred to the gaming venue and Mancunian bar The Living Room "as prime spots for a harmless bit of decadence" when trying to explain why the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Dimitar Berbatov and Robinho may find the city attractive.

Several footballers from Manchester United, for whom Ronaldo and Berbatov both play, have been seen at the relatively new venue over the last year.

Indeed, the likes of Carlos Tevez chose the casino as the location to celebrate the end of another victorious Premier League campaign last season, partying at the location following a final day win against Wigan Athletic.

Siobhan McGoff, Manchester235's marketing manager, claimed earlier in 2008 that the venue is now a "celebrity haunt", which has helped contribute to its burgeoning membership list in recent months.
