Grosvenor Grand Prix 'begins today'

The UK's largest Pot Limit Hold'Em tournament is underway at Walsall's Grosvenor Casino today.

Now in its sixth year, each entrant in the Grosvenor Grand Prix has won their seat either online or at live casinos. The first of the national qualifiers took place on September 6th, with five further qualifying days held on Saturdays in September and October.

According to its official website, this year marks the first time the Grand Prix has now become part of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT), with the winner of the event securing a £3,150 seat at the GUKPT Grand Final.

While the Grand Prix Main Event begins today and runs until November 2nd, a number of support events have been taking place at the Grosvenor Casino in Walsall this week, including No Limit Hold'Em games beginning every evening at 20:00 GMT.

In addition to its bars and restaurants, the Grosvenor Casino features a range of gaming options and a poker room where guests can learn how to play Texas Hold'Em.
