Devilfish to take part in celebrity darts tournament

Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott, one of the UK's most famous card sharps, is to take part in a celebrity darts tournament being held on Friday November 14th.

Planet Darts reports that the World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour titlist will partner Peter 'One Dart' Manley in the PartyPoker.com Pro-Celebrity Challenge event and will take on the team of James Wade and ex-javelin thrower Steve Backley in the first round.

Several of the other participants are known to be keen card players, including Coronation Street's Michael Le Vell, who is teaming up with Wayne Mardle.

Both have appeared in televised celebrity poker competitions in the past and Mardle has reached a final table on the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour.

Another big poker fan is snooker legend Steve Davis, who will be playing alongside Anastasia Dobromyslova.

Davis has landed in the money in the World Series of Poker main event twice in the last three years and will take on a team featuring the best darts player in the world, Phil Taylor.
