Competitors taking part in the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour's (GUKPT's) Champion of Champions tournament will all receive starting chip stacks directly proportional to the size of the event they won to qualify, it has been revealed.
Poker News reports that winners of the £3,000 buy-in Grand Final will received 15,000 chips to start, while those who triumphed in events with buy-ins greater than £300 will be given 7,000 chips.
Champions from tournaments with a buy-in of less than £300 will begin the competition on 5,000.
The event gets underway on December 4th at Luton's G casino, with Jeff Kimber - a double tournament winner - apparently the bookies' favourite to win with his starting stack of 15,000.
Kimber has won more than $220,000 on the poker circuit this year.
His most recent big cash finish came in the main event of the World Series of Poker in which he finished 120th, earning just over $41,000.
