Devilfish sunk in first round of Pro-Celebrity darts

2008-11-17 12:55:54

Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott was unable to add another award to his trophy cabinet on Friday (November 14th), being eliminated in the opening round of the PartyPoker.com Pro-Celebrity Challenge.

The World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour titlist teamed up with Peter Manley for the competition, but they were unable to get past their first opponents James Wade and Steve Backley, eventually losing 3-1.

According to Planet Darts, Ulliott "made a confident start" as his side took the first leg and later threw a treble-17 to leave him on a finish, but he was unable to hit his doubles and they were knocked out of the competition.

Poker enthusiast Steve Davis and his partner Anastasia Dobromyslova also went home in the opener, losing 3-1 to Phil Taylor and Neil Ruddock.

Taylor and Ruddock went on to beat Wayne Mardle and Michael Le Vell in the next round, before losing 3-2 in the final to Backley and Wade.
