Greenstein book gets recommendation

Barry Greenstein's strategy tome, Ace on the River: An Advanced Poker Guide, has received a positive review from Poker News.

Frank op de Woerd wrote that the book "is written very enthusiastically" and contains lots of useful advice that is backed up by real-life examples faced by Greenstein and other experienced professionals.

"If you're looking for a book with nice stories and useful tips for professional poker players, then Ace on the River is exactly the right book for you," he remarked.

Mr op de Woerd chose the book to review based on a special World Poker Tour episode featuring some of the sport's authors, which was eventually won by Greenstein.

He defeated Tom McEvoy in the heads-up, with Antonio Esfandiari, Daniel Negreanu, Johnny Chan and Dan Harrington the other card sharps at the table.

Ace on the River came out in June 2005 and has earned a four-star user rating on Amazon.co.uk.
