Nottingham's Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) poker room has announced that it is to make changes to its £20 buy-in Student Night freezeout competition, held every Friday.
The UK's first dedicated poker lounge revealed on its website that there have been numerous requests since the competition series began to change the event from student-only to an all-comers tournament.
It claimed that it has now "bowed to demand" and will make the no-limit Texas hold'em tournament open to everyone from February 6th.
"This will be a great opportunity for the students to show the rest of our players what they are made of," DTD said.
The buy-in will rise to £25, with the registration fee set at £5. Those taking part will be able to score points for DTD's £25 tournament leaderboard, which is already linked to events on Wednesday and Sunday night.
Last year, DTD set up a customer loyalty scheme which pays out £25 to club members for every four tournaments or cash games they take part in each month.
