Innovation accolade for Dusk Till Dawn

2009-01-27 16:43:33

The UK's first dedicated poker lounge, Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) in Nottingham, has been presented with the Rob Garner Award for Innovation at this year's 'Poker Oscars'.

According to its official website, the east Midlands venue was presented with the Poker Europa-sponsored award in a ceremony at the Aviation Club de France, "due to the vision of Rob Yong and Nick Whiten that has created Europe's premier poker venue".

DTD became the first legal poker club in the UK on September 26th 2007 when it was issued a casino licence at Nottingham magistrates court.

At the time, managing director Mr Yong promised big things for the card room and vowed his team would strive to make DTD the number one location for poker playing in the continent.

"It's been a lot of hard work these last two years but we've cleared the final hurdle and we can look ahead to opening later this year, making DTD the best poker club in Europe," he remarked.
