WBC super-middleweight champion Carl Froch was at the Sportsmans Club Casino in Marble Arch, London this week to promote his upcoming fight with Jermain Taylor.
Kevin Mitchell of the Guardian stated that the casino was "an appropriate venue for Froch to take a calculated gamble", which he believed him to be doing in agreeing to face Taylor, a two-times Bernard Hopkins conqueror and the former unified middleweight champion of the world.
The two boxers will appear in a much bigger gaming venue for the April 25th fight itself, Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.
With more than 340,000 sq ft of gaming space, Foxwoods is one of the largest casinos in the world, along with Connecticut neighbour the Mohegan Sun and Las Vegas Sands' Macau resort the Venetian Macao.
It regularly stages boxing events and played host to Vernon Forrest's successful WBC light-middleweight title defence against Michele Piccirillo in December 2007.
