A charity casino night is to be held at a hotel in Durham in order to raise money for a children's hospice appeal.
Whitworth Hall is hosting the event on May 16th and will offer a two-course buffet and night on the tables, as well as a disco, in exchange for the £25 fee.
The proceeds will go towards Grace House North East, which is aiming to raise enough money to support the 1,000 families in the region with children who need hospice care.
Elizabeth Malpas, general manager of Whitworth Hall, told the Spennynews that the venue is "delighted" to be contributing to the cause.
"We hope everyone will use this opportunity to get dressed up, have lots of fun and help us raise money for this much needed children's hospice," she was quoted as saying.
Later this week, London's Grosvenor Victoria Casino is hosting a 24-hour 'pokathon' in a bid to raise cash for St John's Hospice.
