Poker academy heading to Birmingham

2009-05-07 12:04:37

Birmingham's Broadway Casino is to be the venue for the next poker academy, hosted by Bluff Europe.

The magazine recently staged its inaugural event in Manchester and is now moving down the M6 for another this Saturday (May 9th).

Once again there will be three hours of interactive lectures, followed by four hours of tournament play.

Those attending will pay a £125 fee as well as a £25 buy-in for the tournament and host Alex Rousso remarked: "This is a great opportunity for intermediate players to come along and improve their game by learning from some of the best players in the country."

Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott and Paul Jackson will be offering advice as the professionals in attendance, while the lectures will be entitled The Theory of Poker, Luck and Variance, Dealing with Defeat and Bankroll Management.

The first poker academy was held at Manchester's 235 Casino on Saturday April 26th.
