Harrah's asks for nominees for Poker Hall of Fame

2009-05-27 16:51:11

Poker fans are being asked to register their votes for which gamers should be inducted in the Poker Hall of Fame.

Casino giant Harrah's will be accepting nominations on its World Series of Poker website until July 2nd.

In order to be eligible to be nominated, players need to have played for high stakes and against acknowledged top competition.

They should also have played consistently well and stood the test of time on the poker circuit.

Those who are not poker players need to have made a significant contribution to the growth and success of the game with lasting results.

One inductee to make it into the hall of fame for doing this was Henry Orenstein, who was a good poker player and also the one who invented the hole camera.

This device enabled better commentary of live tables because the presenters and audience could see the cards held by each player at the felt.
