Once play was wrapped up on the second day of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the first bracelet had already been claimed by Andrew Cohen.
He triumphed in the $500 (£310) casino employees no-limit hold'em event, which featured an 837-player field.
As well as one of the coveted pieces of jewellery, the bartender at the N9NE Steakhouse also took home $83,778.
Play started on Wednesday and the final hand was concluded the next day when Cohen took down Paul Peterson with pocket sixes.
When the gamers sat at the final table, Cohen was the chip leader with a stack of 408,000 chips, while Peterson was short-stacked with just 126,000 chips in front of him.
Last year, the first event of the WSOP was the $10,000 World Championship pot-limit hold'em and this was claimed by Nenad Medic.
His victory in the opening competition earned him almost $800,000 in prize money as well as a bracelet.
