Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino do not renew Mel B's contract

Former Spice Girl Mel B will no longer be appearing at Planet Hollywood Hotel and casino in Las Vegas after casino bosses opted not to renew her contract.

The star featured in Peep Show, a burlesque performance at the venue, but her run with actress Kelly Monaco appears to be at an end.

A source told the People that the singer is disappointed by the fact that she will no longer be able to perform at the gaming establishment.

"Mel's contract for Peep Show has not been renewed. She is gutted, she loved doing the show," the insider commented.

Another source involved with the show suggested that the reason for the decision was budgetary.

Last month it was revealed that Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino will host the Miss America pageant this year.

The event was held there in 2007 and 2008, before which it was put on in gaming venues in Atlantic City.
