CryptoLogic extends deal with Marvel

Online gamers who are fans of the Marvel slot machines developed by CryptoLogic will be pleased to learn the companies have agreed to continue collaborating.

In an extension of the existing deal, the internet casino software developer will carry on producing themed games based on Marvel comics and characters until 2013.

CryptoLogic has launched more than 17 slot machines since 2005 with classic superheroes that are part of Marvel's repertoire.

Among those immortalised in gaming format are Spider-Man, the Hulk, X-Men, Blade and Daredevil.

Brian Hadfield, president and chief executive officer of CryptoLogic, commented: "It's exciting to extend a deal that has been mutually successful and profitable, and to strengthen CryptoLogic's competitive advantage in the branded gaming space."

As well as offering branded Marvel games to online players, CryptoLogic also offers a variety of other options, such a casual games like Bejeweled and Cubis.

It also develops online slots based on iconic characters and games, such as King Kong and Street Fighter II.
