Sheffield casino launches after £1.5m upgrade

2010-06-07 16:51:19

A casino in Sheffield has held a charity night to celebrate the re-opening of the premises after a £1.5 million revamp.

Napoleon's in Ecclesall Road had a ringmaster and a group of can-can girls for the spectacular, which ended with a poker game featuring a number of well-known pros.

Money from the poker tournament went to the Weston Park Cancer Hospital,

Mark Allen, director of A&S Leisure Group, said the feedback they had received from the public over the new facilities has been brilliant.

"Napoleons has provided 34 years of fantastic evening entertainment and this makeover takes dining and entertainment in Sheffield to the next level," he added.

The chain has six casinos across the UK, including another one in Sheffield, as well as a location in London.

It comes after it was revealed a new establishment may be constructed in the capital, which will tie in with the 2010 Olympics.
