FAQs

The following questions have been prepared to address queries from players with cards issued in countries previously restricted from making any VISA withdrawals.

  1. Why am I allowed to withdraw with my card now?
VISA International has recently updated their list of countries restricted from receiving payments back to their credit cards. We have updated our systems in-line with their updated directive.
  2. What am I supposed to do now that the funds were sent back to a card I no longer use?
We can confirm for you if the transaction went through successfully to your card issuer. Please provide us with the transaction information for us to investigate further for you.
In the meantime, please contact the card issuer advising them of your case. If you still hold an account with them, they should be able to transfer the funds to one of your active accounts. Otherwise, they would place the funds in a suspense account reserved for unclaimed transactions. If so, ask them to identify a pending transaction from ECash Direct.
One of our ECash representatives will be contacting you shortly to confirm the status of your withdrawal.
  3. I want my withdrawals to go back to my current card, not my old cards. What should I do?
Withdrawals will only be sent to cards used within the past 7 months. For payment account security, funds deposited to your ECash Direct account by more than one credit card will be withdrawn to the appropriate credit card in the reverse sequence that the funds were deposited.
So if you deposit funds by using your Visa Card 1 and then Visa Card 2, when you withdraw the funds, they will be refunded to your Visa Card 2 first, followed by Visa Card 1. Only after the exposure has been met in both your Visa Card 1 and 2, can you withdraw more funds to your current Visa Card 2.

If you would like to increase your credit card deposit limit, please send a blank mail message to credit.request@ECashdirect.co.uk (UK). Specific instructions will be forwarded to your e-mail address.

Depending on your bank the funds should be available back to your card within 2-5 business days.

Cheques

How to Deposit funds by Cheque

To perform a Cheque Deposit you need to access the ECash Direct software. Instructions on how to find the ECash Direct main screen are available here.

This is a two-step transaction:

Step 1 involves completing the online deposit form within the ECash Direct system; and, Step 2 involves delivering a cheque to ECash Direct.

Step 1:

To complete the online deposit form you need to specify four pieces of information that you can obtain directly from your cheque:

  • Name on cheque
  • Amount of deposit in GBP Pounds
  • Cheque number (top right hand corner of the cheque)
  • Account number (lower line of the cheque)

To ensure the fastest possible service, the information on your cheque must match the information keyed onto the online deposit form exactly.

Step 2

Once you have filled out the online form, you must mail your cheque to:

ECash Direct Ltd
Nimeli Court,
41-49 Agiou Nicolaou Str.
Block A, 3rd Floor,
Engomi 2408
Nicosia
CYPRUS

Make cheques payable to: ECash Direct (UK) Limited

Make sure you include your account number on the front of your cheque as a reference, so we know which account to credit when we receive it. Your account number is displayed on the ECash Direct Cheque Deposit screen.

Deposit Limits

There is a maximum per month deposit limit of £25,000 or currency equivalent. This is the largest amount of money that ECash Direct will post to your account by cheque during a single calendar month.

Processing Rules

Transactions are completed during the same working day that an online deposit request and a matching cheque are received by ECash Direct. The deposited funds are available for use immediately upon completion of the deposit by ECash Direct. If the information provided by you on the online deposit request and the cheque do not match then an ECash Direct representative will contact you to provide assistance. Once you have entered an online deposit request that matches the information on the cheque, your funds will be posted to your ECash Direct account. There is no fee for using this service.

The address of the cheque must match the address you have entered in the ECash Direct account. If the information does not match, the cheque cannot be deposited into the account.

While your funds are available for use immediately, you may not transfer or withdraw funds generated by a cheque deposit for a period of 30 days after the funds appear on your ECash Direct statement. To view an ONLINE DEMO about MasterCard SecureCode click here

What is MasterCard SecureCode?

MasterCard SecureCode is a new service that enhances your existing MasterCard card. A private code gives added protection against unauthorized use of your card when you shop at participating online merchants like ECash Direct.

How does MasterCard SecureCode work?

Once you've registered and created your own private SecureCode, you will be automatically prompted by your card issuer to type in your SecureCode each time you register your card or make a deposit with a participating online merchant. Then your SecureCode will be quickly confirmed by your card issuer to complete your request. Your SecureCode will never be shared with us and using it is as easy as entering your PIN at an ATM.

How does MasterCard SecureCode protect me?

Correctly entering your SecureCode during a request confirms that you are the authorized cardholder. If an incorrect SecureCode is entered, the request will not be completed. Even if someone knows your credit or debit card number, the request cannot be completed without your SecureCode.

What are the system requirements for MasterCard SecureCode?

MasterCard SecureCode works with most browsers. Please be aware that software which prevents pop-up windows may interfere with your use of SecureCode.

Where can I view the MasterCard SecureCode Terms and Conditions?

Please visit your MasterCard issuer's website for the Terms and Conditions specific to your card.

Where can I review the privacy policy?

Please visit your MasterCard issuer's website to review the privacy policy specific to your card.

How do I enroll?

If your MasterCard issuer offers this service, their website will have the enrollment form. If you don't see your card issuer listed, please contact them directly.

What is the Card Security Code?

The Card Security Code is the last three digits that appear on the back of your card, on the top right hand corner of the signature panel. It is requested as an extra security measure to make sure you are in possession of the card you are enrolling.

What card do I use? Will I need to get a new card to use MasterCard SecureCode?

You will be able to use any of your existing MasterCard credit or debit cards, as long as the cards are from a participating card issuer.

How many cards can I register with MasterCard SecureCode?

There is no limit on how many cards you can register.

What happens when I use my SecureCode at a participating merchant?

After reviewing the details of your request and confirming that your Personal Greeting is correct, simply type in your SecureCode to complete your purchase.

How will the ECash Direct know that I'm registered for MasterCard SecureCode?

When you use a card that is protected with MasterCard SecureCode for a transaction, our system sends a message to your MasterCard issuer. The issuer will respond indicating whether they participate in the SecureCode program or not. If they do, you will be asked to enroll in the program or authenticate the transaction. If your issuing bank does not participate in the program, your transaction will be processed as it is today.

How will SecureCode change the card registration and deposit process?

During the deposit process, you will be asked to enroll in the program, it you have not already done so. You will then be asked to authenticate all transactions that are requested by entering the SecureCode you have selected.
