What is MasterCard SecureCode?
MasterCard SecureCode is a new service that enhances your existing MasterCard card. A private code gives added protection against unauthorized use of your card when you shop at participating online merchants like ECash Direct.
How does MasterCard SecureCode work?
Once you've registered and created your own private SecureCode, you will be automatically prompted by your card issuer to type in your SecureCode each time you register your card or make a deposit with a participating online merchant. Then your SecureCode will be quickly confirmed by your card issuer to complete your request. Your SecureCode will never be shared with us and using it is as easy as entering your PIN at an ATM.
How does MasterCard SecureCode protect me?
Correctly entering your SecureCode during a request confirms that you are the authorized cardholder. If an incorrect SecureCode is entered, the request will not be completed. Even if someone knows your credit or debit card number, the request cannot be completed without your SecureCode.
What are the system requirements for MasterCard SecureCode?
MasterCard SecureCode works with most browsers. Please be aware that software which prevents pop-up windows may interfere with your use of SecureCode.
Where can I view the MasterCard SecureCode Terms and Conditions?
Please visit your MasterCard issuer's website for the Terms and Conditions specific to your card.
Where can I review the privacy policy?

How do I enroll?
If your MasterCard issuer offers this service, their website will have the enrollment form. If you're not sure if your card issuer provides this service, please review MasterCard's list of participating card issuers from MasterCard SecureCode Main site. If you don't see your card issuer listed, please contact them directly.
What is the Card Security Code?
The Card Security Code is the last three digits that appear on the back of your card, on the top right hand corner of the signature panel. It is requested as an extra security measure to make sure you are in possession of the card you are enrolling.
What card do I use? Will I need to get a new card to use MasterCard SecureCode?
You will be able to use any of your existing MasterCard credit or debit cards, as long as the cards are from a participating card issuer.
How many cards can I register with MasterCard SecureCode?
There is no limit on how many cards you can register.
What happens when I use my SecureCode at a participating merchant?
When you enter your registered MasterCard payment details for registration or to make a deposit, you will automatically be prompted by your card issuer to enter your SecureCode or enroll in the program. After reviewing the details of your request and confirming that your Personal Greeting is correct, simply type in your SecureCode to complete your purchase.
How will the ECash Direct know that I'm registered for MasterCard SecureCode?
When you use a card that is protected with MasterCard SecureCode for a transaction, our system sends a message to your MasterCard issuer. The issuer will respond indicating whether they participate in the SecureCode program or not. If they do, you will be asked to enroll in the program or authenticate the transaction. If your issuing bank does not participate in the program, your transaction will be processed as it is today.
How will SecureCode change the card registration and deposit process?
During the deposit process, you will be asked to enroll in the program, it you have not already done so. You will then be asked to authenticate all transactions that are requested by entering the SecureCode you have selected.
What do I do if I have problems during the enrolment process?
The enrolment process is very straightforward. But, in the unlikely case you experience difficulties; the enrolment website has online information available to help you. In the event that you have a problem which you still cannot resolve, please contact or your card issuer's help desk who will be pleased to assist you (number is on the back of your debit / credit card).
